Right, you want to know about me? Ok, first things first, I'm male and heterosexual. Now that the desperate members of the
audience have departed, I'll continue. I'm an INFJ personality type according to the Myers-Briggs test, and the associated Keirsey Test. What that basically translates to is a good understanding of other people and good communication skills, as well as a tendency to be found in kitchens at parties. I've finished 4 years of study at Oxford Brookes University, studying for a Computing Degree. However, events have transpired such that I've had to leave before finishing, though I may well finish at another university sometime in the future. As could possibly be gathered by the fact I'm writing this myself, I'm quite computer literate (which you'd expect for a Computing Student afterall). I'm a Discordian Beddist in terms of religion. Most people would probably class me as weird, or horror of horrors, "wacky". Life is a joke in my opinion, the most interesting part being working out the punch line. I'm an atypical Aries. I style myself after a somewhat stereotypical view of a Knight from medieval times, protecting the weak and honouring those who deserve it etc. Sounds rather cheesy but it works for me :) As for what I'm like in appearance, well I played my rookie season of American Football for the Oxford University Cavaliers in 1996-1997, and I was a Tackle on the line then. This means I'm one of the Big Strong Guys that seem to be synonymous with that particular sport, as I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall and more or less rectangular (meaning I could certainly loose a few pounds here and there and not be sorry about it). I'm a fairly gentle type though. I've got chestnut brown hair, and I have one of those beard things people seem to dislike so much. Not that I particularly care that much, as I'm all for outward appearances not being judged, and the person beneath doing the talking, so to speak. I tend to wear black, with occasional black, and the odd bit of white (typically on nice tshirts that don't come in Black). I class myself as a CyberGoth, as I'm definitely not Punk in my attire or manner, and like darkness and gothic things far too much to want to class myself as anything else. If you must see a picture of me, there's one here. My interests are fairly widespread, focusing on computers naturally, but I also like to use the other great processing power, that of the mind. I'm interested in most forms of philosophy, and I'm especially fond of science fiction and fantasy, particularly the works of JRR Tolkien and anything cyberpunk I can get my hands on. My Musical tastes are varied also, from classical works, to ibiza based dance, to goth-metal, the whole spectrum of music usually has something for me to enjoy at whatever level I encounter it. My taste in movies runs the same as my taste in books, with the Starwars saga being my all-time favourites (I know far more StarWars trivia than is healthy :). I play lots of computer games, particularly the Quake series of games from id software, as they are not only great fun to play, but also great proving grounds for ideas in the form of maps and modifications etc. One such "mod" is Real Life Quake, for QuakeWorld and Quake 1. I am currently the Leader and organiser behind the Hatstand Quake3 Clan which takes up significant amounts of my free time, but is immensely rewarding. As of january 2002 I'm also Head Admin of the BarrysWorld Quake3: Urban Terror League and Captain of the United Kingdom Urban Terror Team, both of which are an honour to do and which take up most of my time and are also very rewarding.
