If it was you, mail me and I'll add your credit! Rest of it is all me. Build Time: 4 hours Type of Mod ----------- Quake C : yes Sound : no MDL : no Format of QuakeC (if a Quake C Mod) ----------------------------------- unified diff : no context diff : no .qc files : no progs.dat : yes System Requirements: ------------------------------- Uses approximately 200k of hard disk space QuakeWorld 2.30 Description of the Modification ------------------------------- Bounty Hunters QW is a simple modification, Every item (except for keys, runes and player's backpacks) has a price, in credits. If you don't have the credits, you can't pickup the item. You get credits by staying alive (1 credit every 5 seconds), or by killing other players (half of their current credits + the bounty on their head). The bounty on your head is set to 100 credits when you get 5 kills, and goes up by 20 credits for every kill over that. Commands include: ------------------------------- COMMAND EXPLANATION Impulse 15 Print your current status Impulse 16 Print the Top Three Bounties Future Features --------------- Possible SpeedUp powerup Possible accuracy rankings (shots that damage players / shots fired) Known bugs ------------------------------- None so far, but it is relatively untested at this time (15th march 1999). If I get bug reports, I'll fix BHQW and update this readme. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Currently, you need to backup your qwprogs.dat from your quakeworld\qw directory Then, copy the qwprogs.dat from the zipfile into your quakeworld\qw directory. Start a server, and bingo. Author Information ------------------ This is the second public release of my Quake work, more could follow. I am a student at Oxford Brookes University, UK, studying Computing. The first release was Real Life Quake.
