I have halted work on RLQ as I have far too much to do these days.
Anyone wanting to work with the RLQ source is free to download it, as long as credit is given to me for my work, and to the people who's work I use for their contributions to RLQ itself.

New patch Bounty Hunters QuakeWorld.

Real Life Quake is a partial conversion of Quake 1, taking concepts from "real life" to enhance the gameplaying experience.

What this means is that the Quake world has been made more "real", objects have weight, and as such you can pick up AND drop items at will. You can hold as many items as you want, but hold too many and they will slow you down, making you an easier target.

Also the concept of Hit Location is introduced, which means that for once your aim will decide how lethal you are!
If you shoot someone in the head, even from a long way off, you can be pretty sure that they are going to either die or take some serious damage, so, in RLQ, if you shoot someone in the head, you are almost guaranteed a frag! If you shoot someone in the legs, they will move more slowly and not jump as high, if you shoot them in the arms they will lose accuracy with projectile weapons.

Combine all this with different weapons, ones that are slightly(!) more realistic, with ammunition used in clips and reloading a vital part of preparations for any upcoming battle, and now (in v1.05 onwards) recoil to add tension to any gunfight.
