Some Days...
Some days there are no places to hide,
no sacred ground, no sanctuary.
Beware...
Beware the innocence of youth
mixed with the wiseness of age
for the security you seek in truth
is changed from page to page
In This Life...
In this life there are some things that must happen
and some which do
some places you must go
some places that come to you
an underlying sense of justice
only realised at the end
good things
bad things
things of no consequence
through it all there is only one way to live
the best way you know how
to bring the security to others you feel inside
to banish the pain to the empty worlds below
to show the way to the lost and the blind
and to follow those who have gone before
to act as an example to the masses who do not know
and show them the true meaning of life
to bring a smile to every face
and know each enemy well
to protect the helpless
and defend the apathetic
to lead the fight
while staying true to yourself
to remain unchanged
no matter what the others say
and as you live life this way
the one thing to remember is
strength comes from within
protection is useless
if you can't provide it yourself.
There is only one way to make a lasting impression on
this earth.
